Tooth replacement offers more than aesthetic benefits

Tooth replacement offers more than aesthetic benefits

Las Vegas tooth replacement is important for maintaining proper bite alignment and preventing issues such as shifting teeth, which can damage your dental health. Replacing teeth restores your ability to chew and speak effectively, improving daily functionality and quality of life. Additionally, tooth replacement helps maintain the structure of the jawbone, preventing bone loss and preserving facial aesthetics.

5-Star Dental Patient Reviews

Tooth replacement options may include the following:

If missing teeth are leaving you feeling self-conscious or you wear dentures that are uncomfortable, dental implants can be a very effective solution.

Dental implants are designed to look perfectly natural alongside your other teeth. And they are a long lasting option for restoring your smile. The implant post is made up of titanium and other materials that are compatible with the human body. They are placed in the upper or lower jaw, where they function as a sturdy anchor for a replacement crown. Patients often rave about how their implants feel as secure, stable and natural as their original tooth. Dental implants can also be used in conjunction with dentures (implanted-supported dentures) providing a more stable fit that will give you confidence in your dentures.

Two types of dentures are available for the replacement of missing teeth. Full or complete dentures are used to replace full sets of teeth. When some natural teeth are still present partials can be used. Partials can be helpful to keep the remaining teeth from shifting.

Fixed bridges are a non-removable option to replace missing teeth. They are comprised of two crowns affixed to neighboring – or anchoring teeth. The artificial teeth then sit in between, replacing the missing teeth. They are strong and durable, but will need to be replaced after many years.

FAQs

Does Sandquist Dentistry do dental implants?

Yes, though we do not place your implants at the Sandquist Dentistry Las Vegas office. We work hand in hand with an implantologist from another office who will place your dental implant. Then, after your dental implant heals, you will return to our office for two appointments.

  • To get a digital scan in order to custom-design your new tooth

  • To place your new abutment and crown.

*Some dental implant patients also need additional procedures in tandem with their dental implant, like extraction, bone grafting, sinus lifts, and sedation dentistry. Every case is unique, and you can schedule a complimentary consultation with Sandquist Dentistry to understand your next steps.

The options for replacing missing teeth, include dental implants, bridges, and dentures. The best tooth replacement option depends on a variety of factors specific to each individual, including the number of missing teeth, their location, the health of your jawbone, your budget, and your personal preferences.

We do not pull teeth. During your consultation, if we see that you have teeth that need to be removed we will refer you to a trusted specialist and coordinate to ensure the restoration of your teeth.
