X-Rays, Photos & a 3D Scan – Every New Patient
Every patient and every new patient gets digital X-rays, photographs of their teeth, and a 3D scan as part of a real exam. The photos and the scan are a one-two punch: the scan gives us precise, measurable data on how your teeth and bite actually fit together, and the photos give us the real visual picture to match against it. Together, that’s what lets us plan anything from Invisalign to a crown to a veneer with real precision, not a guess.
Digital X-Rays
Digital X-rays let us see decay between teeth, bone loss from gum disease, and problems below the gumline long before they’d be visible or symptomatic – all with less radiation than traditional film X-rays, and instant images we can review with you chairside.
3D CBCT Imaging, When It’s Indicated
For cases that call for a closer look, we also use 3D CBCT radiography – a more detailed 3D X-ray that shows bone, nerves, and joint structures that a standard X-ray or scan can’t. This isn’t part of every visit; it’s an additional tool we bring in when indicated, most often for planning a dental implant or diagnosing what’s actually happening at the jaw joint itself.
